What is Conscious Eating?

How you eat is as important as what you eat.

Conscious Eating is a simple yet powerful mindfulness practice applied to how you eat. It invites you to slow down and connect your body, breath and awareness so you’re fully present with each mouthful.

As you become more connected, you become more conscious of your real hunger, satiation, beliefs and emotions. From that consciousness comes something many people don’t feel they have with food: genuine choice.

Because we eat multiple times a day, every meal becomes an opportunity to step out of stress, “have tos”, compulsion and “shoulds”, and to enter stillness, awareness, curiosity and self‑compassion. Over time, Conscious Eating becomes an anchor that supports a more harmonious relationship with food, your body and yourself, and helps you access the wisdom already present within you.

This offering brings together a grounded teaching of Conscious Eating with three months of supported practice, so you’re not doing this alone.

The Online Course: Conscious Eating (Foundation)

The course is organised into nine modules released over nine days; however, you can move through them at your own pace.

My name is Marisha Horsman, and it’s a joy to connect with you here. I’m a Natural Health Consultant and Holistic Health Coach, devoted to helping women transform how they relate to food, their bodies and themselves.

For nearly three decades I’ve lived and breathed holistic health. My work is infused with eastern philosophy, wholefood nutrition, yoga, qigong and profound energy practices such as Liberating Touch® , Jin Shin Jyutsu, EFT, Yoga Nidra, essential oils and flower essences.

This isn’t theory for me. I navigated and healed my chronic eating issues completely naturally, and in doing so, reshaped my health, happiness and life. Years of travelling, training with teachers and therapists, immersing in retreats and devouring countless books have all been distilled into Nourishing Light® and the way I now guide others.

Over many years, I’ve accompanied scores of women to find freedom from self‑sabotaging behaviours, awaken their inner wisdom and step into a Heart-aligned way of living. However long you’ve struggled, you are welcome here.
